Struggles and learnings

There are a few things i learned in this course about data and visualization i want to talk about quickly.

At first i was way too confident and i thought i knew how my data are gonna look like, because i was already into that topic. Only when i tried to convert my visualizations into code i realized that it would look really weird or i have to leave some realms or oceans out because the dataset was not really complete and consistent.

Choosing good color themes is important! To be honest im not quite satisfied with mine at the moment. Since i spent a lot of hours on coding some functions i have not set my focus on visual style too much. My interaction elements are functional but not well designed because i am not much into CSS yet.

Using Copilot or ChatGPT is essential to keep up with the other students. This semester i tried to code almost anything by myself or with the help of my instructors. Im a bit proud if that but it also meant that i ran out of time at the end.
